The straw that fills your heart, so you never have to feel && PERSONALITY

    — overview

The PCL describes psychopaths as being callous and showing a lack of empathy, traits the PPI describes as “coldheartedness.” The criteria for dissocial personality disorder include a “callous unconcern for the feelings of others.” Several lines of evidence point to a biological grounding for the uncaring nature of the psychopath. For us, caring is a largely emotion-driven enterprise. Psychopaths have been found to have weak connections among the components of the brain’s emotional systems. These disconnects are responsible for the inability to feel emotions deeply. Psychopaths are also not good at detecting fear in the faces of other people.” “...the psychopaths he came into contact with showed a “general poverty in major affective reactions,” and a “lack of remorse or shame.” The PCL describes psychopaths as “emotionally shallow” and showing a lack of guilt. Psychopaths are notorious for a lack of fear. they blame others for things that are actually their fault. They may admit blame when forced into a corner, but these admissions are not accompanied by a sense of shame or remorse, and have no power to change future behavior. The criteria for APD include “conning others for personal profit or pleasure.” One concerned father of a young sociopathic woman said, “I can't understand the girl, no matter how hard I try. It's not that she seems bad or exactly that she means to do wrong. She can lie with the straightest face, and after she's found in the most outlandish lies she still seems perfectly easy in her own mind” “When a hunter is scanning for deer, a rabbit hopping into the periphery of his visual field automatically attracts his attention. In psychopaths, that won’t happen” “carefree nonplanness” “egoistical” “selfish” “The criteria for dissocial personality include a “very low tolerance to frustration and a low threshold for discharge of aggression, including violence.~ Psychology today

    AMARYLLIS

The black she-cat laid on a rock that hasn’t been touched by the cold ice and frost that covered the ground. She looked around uninterested, hoping someone would notice her and maybe even strike a chat? She needed some attention or things to do, and jeez, this was boring as heck. She stood up, looking around for any goals possible. Hunting? Check. Reward? Food. Status? Full. She needed some other thing to do then. Border patrol? Check. Reward? Rest. Status? Not tired at all. So what could she do? Mischievous things? She didn’t really see any. The psychopath wondered if the queens needed something or so? But what could she get, milk? Well, she sure could find something to do, couldn’t she? She had a clear mind, unlike these other disappointments calling themselves a clan. That’s why she didn’t take on a clan name. What was the purpose of it? Sounding weird? Still, she was there a few moons, a Thunderclanner. Funny she was daughter of the one who burnt their land to ashes. But they didn’t know, and it would stay like that.

Amy watched as the queen walked towards her, with a friendly greeting. Everyone was so unnecessarily friendly, jeez. It wasn’t like Amy wasn’t living in this world of weird people every day, it was just... in her head it seemed very cringey. But as always, she put a friendly smile on her face, and charm sparkled in her attitude as she made a step forwards. Now, what could she do with this one? Well, she could help her one day anyways. One day. Or not? Welp, no time for deciding. At least the boredom could be chased away. The red tabby- surprisingly called Redstripe -smelled of kits and milk, surprisingly as it was a queen. “How is it being a queen?” Amy asked, trying to sound interested. She wasn’t, really. She couldn’t understand why would somebody risk becoming a queen. Her mother told her that if everybody thought like that, there would be no cats on this world. Sometimes Amaryllis wondered what had drawn her mother to Sheogorath. Like... he was MAD. Not like, Amy wasn’t, huh.

Loved ones. Love. What was that thing? Did they need that for anything? Probably not. StarClan? Probably one of these fairytales queens told their kits to sleep. Sadlt, some seemed to not grow up from it. Purpose of life? Why complicate your life with such questions? It was easier to just live in the moment. The black she-cat walked over to the group. “Well, if you are like me and you decide not to worry about it, it is. But, well- don’t worry about it and do nice things to others,” she said, trying to say something those other weird mortals would say. Like, being nice to others meant they owe being nice to you, so it could work. Love. Huh, love. Sometimes she wondered how it felt. But if it brought immature questions like this and in some way even pain, she was happy to be the normal cat here.

Amaryllis listened, trying to look interested, but dying from boredom inside. But... ah, this molly didn’t seem too unreasonable. She even started to admire her a little. Yes, why lose time with little brats like that when could be doing something rewarding? Yes, this Redstripe with surprisingly normal name seemed reasonable enough. At least one of them. Then the kit came. The black she-cat swiped her vibrant green gaze onto the ground, scanning th small creature. Geez, was she once like this too? Embarrassing. Or, no, she wasn’t. Her mom always told her that she was weird. Or told her she was like her father. But she wasn’t mad like him, was she? Her mother was just another unreasonable cat. Well, the kits. They were naive, easily manipulated, but well, what does a kit give you? When they grow up they may- well, she could try corrupt them a little, couldn’t she? “Don’t worry little one, it’s okay,” she said with an unnatural sweet voice to her, with her, well, lack of emotiom. Then she looked back to the other one. These cats were all pretty weird, but being a rogue forever was less rewarding. This system had lots of holes she could use for herself. “It’s a nice place, indeed,” she said, and added a forced chuckle that didn’t sit exactly into her husky voice. Mousedung. “My name is Amaryllis, but friends can call me Amy,” she said. Friends. More like puppets. They were all puppets. Feelings were making you weak and vulnerable, they locked you like in a jail.

And Amy was sadly the one to find the frozen medicine cat. Wait. What was she going to do now? What did clan cats do? Or ‘normal’ cats? Her mom did something when she heard Sheogorath was dead, didn’t she? Like, mourn... but the medicine cat wasn’t Amaryllis’ mate or something. So what to do? The strong black molly decided to pick the dead cat up, smelling the scent of death not irritating her senses a little. Prey died too. Cat needed to die as well. Even though it was probably stupid to let yourself freeze like that, and just out of camp. When she carried the she-cat to the camp, she sat down, thinking why even did she do that. She heard these cats had some sort of funeral or something? “Uh, guys? I found y- our medicine cat, and I’m worried she froze out there,” she called by the most polite voice she could. She hoped she could get out as soon as possible- these cats all could get overly emotional.

Oh gosh. Here it went. This reasonable tabby and this random warrior became as emotional as she awaited. Like- StarClan or what they said. Why in the world were they talking to a dead cat- they couldn’t help her by that, could they? But, Amy must admit she felt something like sadness. When she would be injured, who would heal her? A kit-minded cat that didn’t know nettle from a rose? Anyways, this was getting tense. She’d rather slip out of there, and that is what she did, leaving the two to ‘mourn’ or whatever.

The she-cat seemed to have walked in just in time. She was probably the most willing to get off mother and she easily fit into the clan with her charm. She was the one to be here for the longest time it seemed. Her brother had decided to give up rogue life now? Funny enough, it seemed he never would. She thought she smelled Magpie on the RiverClan border though. She appeared from the shadows, scanning her father who looked so much as her father, a father who she’ve never met. She sat down, deciding to wait too. “Hey brother. How has rogue life been? Too exciting?” she asked, no emotion or even sarcasm or curiousity crawling into her voice, leaving it emotionless, dull and cold as always.

Amy remembered her own kithood very, very well and it was nothing with exploring or curiousity. She would rather listen to her mom talk about her dad and how proud is she he was mad. Or she didn’t listen, really. Both her parents were crazy, her sister was overly emotional as everyone here and her brother extremely weak. She wanted to learn skill so she could feed herself, but sometimes she just went out and watched the flowers, something that didn’t have pupose, surprisingly to the reasonable molly. She glanced at the sneaking away kit with uninterest, but then started thinking. Would she get something for catching him? She grinned evilly, and stood in the way of the kid. “Hey, back off, kitty. You’re supposed to stay in camp,” she said strictly, her cold gaze studying the tom.

Hmm? What could she get from doing nice things to elders? Stories? That didn’t sound right. The selfishness in the cat was brought up once again and she was struggling to not sneak away, but managed to resist and only let out a groan. Then she awkwardly smiled, as if it would be fun or something. What did she get herself into again? Ahh. What does it take to be seen by these weirdoes as normal? She tried to look excited, but she was certainly dying inside at that moment. “I... think I’ll go gather some moss,” she said, trying to keep the false smile on her face. She’d probably try to look for some flowers through the way. The thing that could calm her down, something she just... liked. They didn’t worry about anything, just took what they needed and simply lived. That was what she called smart.

Amaryllis let out a groan as the kit resisted. No, she didn’t want to play a game! Games were dumb! She would apparently smack the kit into the ground if the other warriors and finally the mom didn’t come. Well, it seemed she fit in quite well enough, right? This was what she wanted, now she had it. It felt pretty nice, actually. All she wanted was her peace. She had no real goals- you can’t catch a dream, so what is it for? Another life complication. Amy sat down, and started licking her paw awhile the others dealt with the weird kit, another coming after this Spiderkit or something. Amaryllis, stood up, her tail high, and leaped away, murmuring ‘no problem’ for herself and getting back to the camp. She didn’t need to stay in this tense weird kitten situation with these other cats- she did her part.

Missing somebody wasn’t exactly Amy’s thing. The only people she had in her life was mom and three siblings. She was the first one to leave, because she felt simply the rogue life was too uncomfortable. She needed to know all the options, also the life with her family was getting a bit to annoying, telling her that she was not normal. And what was it, ‘not normal’? They were not normal to her! All these people were weird, talking about feelings and stuff. What were those? She never felt anything to anyone, it was like being a prisoner leeping yourself in a cell you call home. And it ends up like that. You keep laying ‘heartbroken’ watching others doing their boring entertainment things. Amaryllis scanned the ginger cat with her cold brown eyes. They did the same thing, maybe she was like her too? In that case, she wouldn’t mind doing something, just didn’t know what. Well, what about hunting? Amaryllis stod up from her laying place and approached the other she-cat. “Hey there. Looks like you’re bored. Would you like to join me for a hunt?” she asked, her dull eyes turned vibrant for the moment.

Amaryllis was enjoying herself over at the warriors den, when she got border and decided to go to a border patrol then she could reslly be fit for some rest. She stepped ou and called into the camp. “Hey, anybody want to border patrol with me?” Who knows, maybe she could get more puppets- I meant FRIENDS, of course.

Amy got on a sweet smile, then padded over towards the direction of out of the camp. She listened as the other one spoke, thinking about each word. Well, the could try a new spot."Is it far away?" she asked with a demanding voice, wondering if they would need to go some distance before. She couldn't be hesitating at each word, though, right? She was also a newbie, so she had no idea what would they do by SkyClan border.

Amaryllis had no idea why would she change her name. And she wouldn't unless somebody asked her to. Living on the edge like this was far more comfortable. But maybe her weak brother would want to fit in so much he would change his name. He said siblings went away. He stayed with mother the longest then. It was clear Urindil was a social type, and perhaps he'd do anything to fit in. But, well, he was one of those weird cats she saw everywhere. When she looked at him, she could imagine how her father looked, but by StarClan's sake her father was MAD. He killed any cat on sight and his wish was to spread fear. None of the kits were like that though. Although maybe, just maybe Amy was a little bit out of normal.

She gave the tom a charming smile and spoke. "Alright, which border do you pick. I don't know the borders much just yet," she answered, her pose elegant. She didn't know why, she wasn't somewhat attracted to toms, it was just natural to her.
